CrunchPad to start shipping as soon as November

The long awaited CrunchPad may start shipping this November. According to Slashgear, the shipping details of the CrunchPad have been disclosed by the Fusion Garage. The Straits Times, a Singaporean newspaper says that this touchscreen device will target the Christmas Shopping season.

The CrunchPad is a 12-inch touchscreen device and will come equipped with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor. The 1GB RAM perfectly complements the Atom processor. This device will provide support for integrated Wi-Fi and 3G.

The CrunchPad also incorporates a USB port. The gesture-based custom operating system and accelerometer are some of the notable features of this device. Measuring 12.77” x 7.83” x 0.74” in size, it weighs only 1.2kg. Apart from this, it also includes a port for mobile broadband.

The CrunchPad is expected to be priced at $399 (approx. Rs. 19,215) when it arrives in November. This price is slightly more that the previously rumored $300 tag.
