Nintendo Wii Fit Plus released
If you’re anything like us, you’ll no doubt have been ravenously hungry ever since the weather took a nosedive towards ‘chilly’. It’s a natural defence: Stock up on food for just before the winter and you’ll be better equipped for when food is scarcer. Except it’s not scarcer anymore, is it? Be careful, or your cravings for pop tarts and Nutella might land you with a sizable belly. In steps Nintendo then, with an update to its raucously popular and good-for-you-to-boot Wii Fit board - the Wii Fit Plus, in stores today. What’s new? The latest edition of Wii Fit comes bundled with fifteen new balance games, six new strength training exercises and yoga activities. There’s a wealth of options available and you can make up your own routine or choose one of the pre-loaded ones. In addition, the game also has the ability to track weight and BMI so you can work towards a target and see your progress. The board is also able to estimate the amount of oxygen being used by your body and will tell you approximately how many calories you have burnt off during a particular exercise. There are 15 fun, new exercises and unique balance games ranging from Bird’s Eye Bull’s Eye, which (testing your upper body strength and balance as you steer your character to through a virtual obstacle course) to a virtual snowball fight with friends. After being endorsed by the NHS, the Nintendo Wii and its exercise games are sure to keep flying off the shelves. Wii Fit Plus will is available now and can be picked up for £19.99 for just the game or £89.99 with the balance board.
