Samsung Galaxy i7500 Launched in UK

Is the Galaxy too late to the Android party?

It's been something of a wait, but Samsung's debut Android handset the Galaxy i7500 has finally landed in the UK.
Scheduled to arrive in the UK back in June, the Galaxy is now available to buy as expected through network provider 02 on a selection of tariffs which include 18 to 24 month contracts.
Touted as the first handset to house the Google Android OS into a much sleeker, sexier body than previous Android offerings, the HTC Hero has somewhat stolen the show, impressing many, (including several members of T3) with what we were hoping to see from the Galaxy a few months ago.
To remind you of its stand out features the i7500 sports a touchscreen (specifically a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen) a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and video recording for some equally bright snaps and mini movies, as well as a GPS receiver, 8GB of internal memory (which you can boost via card for a further 32GB), high-speed HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and an audio/video player that's good for all mainstream formats.
You can head over to the 02 website, and explore the Galaxy for yourself, that is, if your interest like us has not waned a little since the Hero turned up.
