Online gamers to shape Modern Warfare 2 DLC

Remember it's Call of Duty, but they're not calling it Call of Duty anymore...

Developer Infinity Ward has revealed that the newest installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 2, will feature more downloadable map packs than the two revealed earlier this year.
The essence, according to studio kingpin Robert Bowling, will be on the online community to shape additional post-launch content. The news will buoy fans who balked at the astronomical £54.99 launch price slapped on the game by Infinity Ward.
"As far as DLC goes, we love it and plan to support Modern Warfare 2 with heavy post-launch support," Mr Bowling told MTV. "The fact that we confirmed at least two map packs doesn't mean there won't be more.
"We plan on shaping our DLC based on community feedback from the full game, and the first two DLC map packs. Therefore, the community will really determine what comes after that."
In other news, rapper 50 Cent will be making a cameo appearance in the new game according to Video Games Republic. The star revealed that he has been cast as the multiplayer voice on his official website. More cameos are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Modern Warfare 2, which is the first in the series to drop CoD from the title, will be released in November this year on Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
