Extend the Windows 7 Trial Period for 4 months !!

Try before you buy for longer

30 days not long enough for you to trial an operating system? Well, Microsoft shares your concern and in an unusual move, is allowing the 30-day trial period of Windows 7 to be reset four times before you're forced to make a decision on buying.
It's not clear whether the'hack', which has been detailed on the Windows Secrets site, is Microsoft-approved. But it's not really something that will lose Microsoft money. After all, the more you live with something, the less likely you are to give it up down the line.
To take advantage, you just need to grab your Windows demo version of choice, install, sit back and wait those 30 days. At the end of the 'official' trial period, start the Software License Manager and typing in 'slmgr -rearm'. That resets the trial for a further 30 days on three occasions, leaving you with four months of 'free' use.
Obviously you still have to make the 'keep or ditch' decision at the end of those 120 days, typing in a valid 25-character alphanumeric product key if you can't live without it. But it does give you time to get to know every corner of Microsoft's latest operating system before you have to splash out your hard-earned cash. If it all sounds like hard work, there is a more simple method - just pay for a copy from October 22nd, upgrades start at £79.99.
