Cheaper Solar Energy ! Just what we need!

Stirling Energy Systems (SES) based in Phoenix have finally developed a less complicated; cheaper and less complex design of technology that turns solar thermal heat into electricity. This could be one of the major breakthroughs we could be seeing in this century as fossil fuels (oil; gas) have rose in both price and consumption but due scarcity of the resource the future of our "way of life" looked somewhat doubtful. Sun being the abundant and never ending source of energy (or at least till before the judgment day) could prove to be a vital step forward in the availability of a strong natural resource.
SES will start building its very large solar power plants using its own equipments as soon as next year. Currently the company has a project of 1.5 mega watt 60 units demonstration plant that would use the company's latest design. It has already started to receive several huge contracts to supply solar power.
The break though in solar energy came in 1970s and an expected mass production that started came to a halt in the break down of government funds and support thus disabling them to reach a scale large enough to drive its own costs and compete with conventional energy.
